Curtains

A dull subject I know, but I'd like some new curtains for the lounge and I don't want to pay the £650 Next are quoting for made to order !

In fact I really don't want to pay anywhere near that.

Has anyone bought curtains on-line?

My main problem is that I need a 93" drop (I think the nearest standard measurement is 108") and I need 102" per curtain in width. I hope that makes sense.

My current curtains are 90" x 90" (don't ask) and they aren't quite long enough and they aren't full enough.

In the past I've used a lady who runs a local market stall and makes curtains to measure, but only for bedroom curtains, I probably need to see her for a quote as well.

Ebay? We've bought a few pairs from there, you can get some custom lengths and widths.

Not sure where you are, but I found a fabric warehouse near me, where I could choose fabric and they made them up. My curtains were a massive 4.2m drop and they cost less than Next were quoting you. I'm near Portsmouth and I used Westhouse. They do travel a bit, up to London as well I think....

I'm way up north beachy, but I'll have to look at yell.com for fabric warehouses.

I'd forgotten about Dunhelm Mill, ours is only a little one, I think they only do ready made, but there's a big one not too far away, they might do made to measure.

Thanks everyone.
