I think this might be my most curiously specific thread ever
Can anyone help? We are in the process of renovating a 50s house we bought a few months ago. Most of the rooms downstairs have original quarry tiles but they've had carpet + underlay on them for 30-odd years. I would quite like to keep the tiles in the hall but the underlay has perished a bit and left wiggly stains on the tiles. Is there anything I can use to get them off other than good old-fashioned elbow grease (which I lack)?
Also should I be sealing them or anything? They are quite weirdly absorbant.
Thanks in advance if anyone has read!
