ARGH blue stain on new carpet - help!!

I was given a Neutrodol gel air freshener thing (I know a tactful gift, 'happy new house, its stinks') which got knocked over and went unnoticed behind a box for a while, the bright blue gel oozed out and has stained my NEW living room carpet.
We are not amused.
Any ideas?
I have tried water (I know but I was trying not to panic and going with the simplest idea first!), and some wipe things that promise to remove crayon, shoe polish and other things that should not be near a carpet. It is still extremely blue however.
Shall I just keep going with different products? I am a bit wary of piling different chemicals on top of each other in case I fix it in the carpet forever or something Hmm
Hellllp please :)

vanish?

a branded stain remover?

or for a non-piling-of-chemicals method...move a piece of furniture on top of it Grin

make a feature of it and get these to match

LOL thanks!
I'm going to try that power sporay stuff next and see if it disappears...

Do you still have some carpet offcuts left from the fitting? I recently had to have a patch of carpet replaced, and the carpet repair guy did an excellent job - you can't tell it's been patched. I would call up a carpet specialist (shop you bought from?) and ask advice before you do anymore, and think about getting the patch replaced if all else fails.

Ooooh good idea, I have loads left!

get some carpet master ...it takes out everything except gloss paint/nail varnish.

Ooh what is carpet master? I googled and found lots of companies called carpet master. Is it a product you can buy in Tescos for example?!
