Freezer in garage - can I do this?

Can I put a modern freezer in a garage? Our garage is in the house and the (badly finished so not well insulated) door is the only 'outside wall' of it. Would a freezer be warm enough to keep working? Any recommendations? I think a chest one could be best.

Went to look on JL and was stunned to see they have a freezer for more than £7500 - wtf?!

Seems to be very large but I can't see why else it's so much - what am I missing?? Needless to say our TOP budget would be less than a tenth of that price!

My mum does. Buy one which has a setting for when it is in a cold environment (ie Bosch)

We always used to have a chest freeer in the garage when we were growing up. I should think any chest freeer would be okay, it's not like they'd fit in the average kitchen so must really be designed for garages/cellars.

I think a normal freeer would be fine as well though - I don't see that it could be too cold for it to work? Electricity doesn't freee! :)

(Sorry am missing a letter on my keyboard)

It's something to do with the refrigeration since they stopped using CFCs, or that's what I thought - that you couldn't keep them in sheds and so on any more. But I get the feeling lots of people do so wondering if anyone has actually found it a problem.
