clothes washed with paper, can I get the white fluff off everything?

Hi, just taken the washing out and everything is covered with white fluff thanks to some paper in one of dd's trouser pockets which I overlooked.

Is there some clever way of getting it off the clothes? I washed all my new dark blue/black clothes and I'm hoping they're still salvagable. Any tips for getting it off, the clothes brush doesn't seem to do it.

Wash em again?

I've put them back in for another wash but if it doesn't come off in the wash, is there some clever way of tackling it?

If you have a tumble drier, this will usually remove it.

Yes, I do Lyn, I didn't know that. I can try that with the tshirts etc thanks, but not sure about my own (so nice, sob) new things... mutter mutter which are mostly linen and will be a pain to iron.

I'd try hanging them outside so the wind can blow off the worst of the paper. I'd then rewash the clothes and, provided there is nothing delicate in the wash, I'd put in a few pieces of velcro. They will attract the bits of tissue and your clothes should end up cleaner. Lakeland also sell a product that is designed to do this. I've bought it though and I didn't find it any more effective than velcro.

Tumble drier definitely works. For the thing that can't go in the tumble drier I'd dry them off and then just go over it with some Sellotape. Time consuming but it will work. DH is always leaving tissues in his jeans pocket.

thanks. I have them in the tumble dryer at the moment and I'll sellotape them when they come out. Don't have velcro at home atm but I'll definitely get some so I have it handy for next time - or indeed for this time if I need to keep working on it!

Just have to velcro/sellotape the remains which isn't much!

Lint roller also very handy- saves the need to re-wash if no time.

do you have a tumble dryer?
you can put the dry items in the dryer and then just shake the paper off.

soak in asprin then tumble
