wool duvets?

I'm starting to get a bit of a flush on at night and even the 4.5 tod duvets feels horrid ( cotton filled with microfibre). I've bought a few pairs of 100% cotton sheets and a pure thick cotton underlay and am thinking about a wool duvet.

Does anyone use them- how do they feel in terms of weight and general cuddleyness. Recommendations please and feedback

yours hotly

A Goose down duvet is wonderful as it is a natural product which is hygroscopic, this means that it absorbs any moisture on your body and breaks it down. This in turn helps your body to regulate its temperature.

Synthetic duvets make you to hot because your skin cannot breathe. They make you hot and sweaty and the sleeping environment stays like this as it has no way of being released.

if you do not like the idea of goose down for some reason then silk is the next best thing.

I bought a mothercare wool duvet for DD (cotbed size)

It is very thin as it doesn't need to be bulky as the wool is a good insulator, but I don't think it is amazingly warm as this week when it has been very cold she has needed both her sleeping bag and duvet to stay cozy.

I have a down duvet on my bed and I prefer the 'weight' of the down. I think a wool one would probably good if you wanted something that feels light
