Those hose type kitchen taps...

We've just moved house and I was disproportionately pleased to find that we had a hose-style kitchen taps. However, there was a leak under the sink and a plumber came around and said that it was due to the hose tap. He said that because of the number of moving parts these always cause trouble and therefore we should replace it for a 'normal' tap.

Do any of you have experience of these taps. The plumber did 'fix' it but it is still leaking to a lesser extent.

Any thoughts?

I bought my hose-tap in Lidl (you also get same ones in Aldi) for a tenner - have had it for nearly 2 years and it's fab!

A normal tap will cost more Smile

My mum had one fitted in her new sink as the plumber said they were so good! She thinks it is great and I am a bit Envy of it. Maybe there is a bit of job creation from your plumber...?
