Could anyone recommend a christmas pudding receipe that's not too complex?! I want to start making it next week if possible

Agree, made fancy ones with figs etc, horrible will go back to delia this year. Very easy!

But is there a recipe using microwave rather than boiling for hours?

I use Nigel Slater's recipe, it does have figs in but it's gorgeous! I make 4 x 4 person sized puddings (for me, my mum and 2 sisters) with the quantities he suggests.

I always make mine on stir up Sunday (just before advent I think), have never made them this early in the year.

Good Food website has a few different types for different "abilities"!

No shodatin NEVER microwave christmas pud it can explode!! I soak the sultanas in booze for couple of weeks before making the pud (no one likes currants and raisins in my family)[ grin]!

Actually that reminds me (gets kilner jar and sultanas and looks for old opened bottles of brandy)! Oh and yes i use Delia Smith's recipe as a base!!
