sofa in conservatory?

I am thinking of sofas for our new sunroom (lots of windows, very bright, but solid roof so not ridiculously hot). I know I have to get a pale one so it doesn't fade. It is going to be our main living area most of the time and I want something more solid than wicker - something we can all fling ourselves onto and can stand up to the strain!

Has anyone got a cream leather sofa in their conservatory and how do you get on with it? Or other suggestions?

we have a corner microsuede type fabric sofa in our conservatory. It matches our lounge furniture as our conservatory is linked to the lounge and the carpet runs through the 2 rooms.

The sofa is very practical as it wipes clean, it's light fabric so doesnt fade in the sun.

Just a thought, you may find that the leather becomes too hot in the sun and you stick to it and too cold in the winter. My parents had a leather suite in a south facing room with a wall of windows and doors and they found this was the case and changed the suite to a fabric one.

Good luck and enjoy the new room

We used to have a leather armchair in our conservatory ans as helibee says it got very hot in summer and freezing in winter. We tried putting thick throws over it, but it was just too uncomfortable to sit on.

It has migrated to our living room now and the conservatory has a sofa and an armchair in soft fabric in pale colours. Lots of cushions make it colourful and cosy. In fact, I have just woken up from an unplanned and spontaneous nap on the conservatory sofa - I love waking up and being able to see the blue sky over me Smile

We have two sofas in our consevratory. I agree that leather would be impractical. If the sofa is subject to a lot of sun I would protect it with a throw when it isn't in use as the material gets very fragile and tears. I know from experience as I have had to recover one of my sofas twice.
