Can you recommend a tumble dryer please?

Haven't ever owned one!

To be honest I really want the cheapest I can get. I do know I want a condenser dryer.

Had a look on the currys website and there is an indesit for £220, rating C, 7.5kg load and has sensor drying (seems like a good thing to have???)

Does this sound OK to you or is there anything I should make sure I have/don't have or any brands to go for/avoid

TIA!

I got this a year or so ago and it's fantastic - i got a white one.

7 kg load, sensor drying which is fab, easy to empty the water reservoir once it's done it's stuff.
I think it came from the Co-op.

i wasted hours trying to choose the ideal tumble dryer. There are billions to choose from and as far as i can see nothing to choose between them. in the end just got one at random, and it is great - i have nothing to compare it with and it works so I am happy!

ime sensor is brilliant (no need to guess how long stuff needs to be in there for); all i use otherwise are the two different temperatures (cotton and synthetics). I had to have a condensing one too. Got the Zanusssi zdc67550w from john lewis.

I am sure your indesit will be fine

thanks very much jojay and oldenough - sounds as though the only thing I should def get is the sensor drying.

i also usually spend hours choosing the ideal [insert random new household appliance here] but don't have time right now as have two week old newborn!

Don't forget Quidco if you're buying online!

JetSetWilly · 09/09/2010 09:37

oohhhh thank you yes I was going to mention in OP other ways to reduce cost but didn't want information request overload!

But may also look at john lewis website as they have two year guarantee and also express delivery, happy to pay a little more for this

need to go now though feeding time!

Ok thanks weegie, I think I have on here before now that White knight are decent. But where can I buy them google searches have brought up either 3kg load machines or machines from Tesco direct but they don't have sensor drying
