Mine always seems to smell like last nights dinner.
I hate artificial air freshners - too chemically.
Candles are out of the question with 3 small children and me being forgettful at the best of times.
Advice gratefully received!

I got this for christmas and it's looooovely - I find the coconut good at covering foody pongs and it's dead exotic, like.

I have fragrant fairies come in each night and the squeeze the essence out of the ultimately beauteous rose petals onto my soft furnishing and carpets.

reed diffuser
and fresh flowers - we are fortunate to have a glut of sweet peas.
and keep a window open at all times.

Ooh Ruthie, I've always fancied those, but they are quite pricey and I have heard that the fragrance doesn't last long.

Is yours still ponging sweetly 8 months after Christmas, then?

plantwoman · 26/08/2010 19:28

oops didn't know someone had already done this today - should have searched.
Never heard of those reed things before - but will look into it.
The white company thing is lovely although rather pricey...

I had a glut of sweet peas although they are coming to an end now - but even they weren't enough to overpower the smell of burnt toast....

You can get them in M&S, John Lewis and lots of places.
Waitrose do some really nice Royal Horticultural ones like fig and sweet pea (about £9)
I'll have this for xmas
