Help, moving house at 38 weeks pregnant...

What can I do to make it easier?

We are having professional movers in to pack and do the lifting, which is of course a HUGE help, but we're doing the unpacking.

We're moving from one unfurnished rental place (with evil landlord Angry who I am not sorry to be losing), to another unfurnished rental place in the same town, so not got far to go, but all our junk furniture, books, clothes etc will have to be sorted through.

The move is planned for two weeks time and I am currently 36+3 weeks pregnant with first LO, though early arrivals run in the family...

So, I need your tips and hints for surviving the process. Any thoughts on what I should prepare?

I did something similar and my top tips are....

Pack your hospital bag now and keep it somewhere you/ your DH/P can find it easily

Rope in as much family/friends to help unpack as poss -don't be afraid to ask

Live on takeaways/pre-prepared meals for a few days before and afterwards

throw as much junk as possible in boxes and leave it packed and in attic/shed/garage - once baby arrives you'll need the room anyway :o

Good luck!
