If your home looks like a showhome, where do you keep all the toys etc?

Leding on from my showhome kitchen thread, where a number of my friends ( and a whole load of MNetters too) seem to have showhome style kitchens. < jelous >.

If the rest of your house is like this also, where do you keep all your stuff? Toys, etc?

Do you have clutter anywhere? If not, how do you deal with it?!

Like GrumpyPants, our toy boxes fit with the decor of each room - a white toy box for DD's room, Heal's wicker baskets in different shapes for our living room, raffia cloth baskets with gingham linings for every other room including kitchen. No plastic boxes in view - only inside wardrobes if needed. This way each room looks presentable and nice even though each room has a toy box in it.

I have 2 oak storage boxes in the front room one which is also used as a coffee table they look great and store loads of toys.

I got some gorgeous wicker baskets from dunelm mill with wheels on them for the dining room/kitchen for all ds's little people etc.

I have 2 storage boxes in our room for other toys and ds's room has lots of storage space bookcase, thomas table with boxes underneath. Everything can be neatly put away.

I really wish we could have a bigger house with a playroom in it but i'll just have to keep waiting. :)

I aspire to one day having a relatively neat, clutter free house but I'm not sure I will ever achieve it.

We have a small house and not enough storage but it's a bungalow so children's things do always live in their rooms, dd's room is absolutely tiny but she has a massive bed and nearly everything lives underneath that in boxes. Originally the plan was to just have beds and clothes in the small room and use the bigger bedroom as a play room but dd is disabled and still won't sleep, I think it's nice for ds to have space away from the little terror too Wink
