Best cloths/ sponges to clean kitchen & bathroom

I am rubbish at cleaning. I am a bad workman and I blame my tools... I have all the right sprays and liquids but I don't know which cloths / sponges to use. In the kitchen I end up using kitchen towel to wipe the surfaces which seems really wasteful. In the bathroom I have one of those microfibre cloths but then I have to keep washing it after every time I clean the loo.

What do people do??

Kitchen roll for yucky spills in kitchen but for general cleaning of work surfaces then microfibre cloth (and vinegar mixture)

Kitchen roll and vinegar spray(or wet wipes) for loo to clean up any "splashes" and then after it's clean I use a microfibre cloth in there too.

I often think back to when I was a little girl and kitchen roll was only dispensed by mum, a square at a time. Was deemed a bit of a luxury Grin

Microfibre cloths all the way, I have about a
Million! V wasteful to use kitchen roll and it's not very good at doing the job either! I spray on Method spray, leave for a few mins and then everything comes off with the microfibre cloth.

MrsJ - makes me bleugh when I see people wiping up spills with a cloth (and my mum does it). Blood from steak, grease from frying, chicken bits all onto a cloth (and no matter how hard you try to rinse it doesn't come out) and then continue "wiping clean" the kitchen.

Remember that ad on the TV when the woman wipes a chicken breast over a work surface - it's SO true.

i use mircrofibre clothes have well

have certain coloured kitchen only cloths which are the ONLY clothes used in kitchen area, and NEVER used anywhere else

As I said Moos, I have a lot - if they go in anything remotely 'bleurgh' they go in the washing machine at 60 degrees. Unfortunately our inflated feelings of what's "bleurgh" have, I'm sure, contributed to the piles and piles of landfill waste.

Sounds like microfibre cloths the way to go. Do you get those expensive ones (I forget the brand) or are supermarket own brand ok?

Can you use them with Cif spray, or only with water / vinegar? Not sure I can face a vinegary smell everywhere.

I use Method Lavender spray, it's eco friendly and lavender is naturally antibacterial. The normal Tesco (not value) microfibre cloths are fine, I like the set you can get in dunelm mill that includes finer ones for glass, etc.
