Cleaning grot off kitchen tiles

Bit embarrassed really as it's minging, but we are moving out of our rented house shortly and I want to avoid the expense of cleaners, so have started looking round the house witha fresh eye.

The splash ack tiles behind the hob are quite mucky, mainly the grout. Any ideas on shifting it?

I find using a fairly strong spray cleaner (a degreasing one good in the kitchen) and scrubbing with a toothbrush brings the grout up nice and clean. Am now Blush though as haven't done mine in ages. Must do that soon.

Cillit bang any good? Toothbrush? Great idea :)

The rest of the house is pretty ok, just wiping skirting boards where furniture is, cant believe I didn't notice this before, eeeew.

I reckon you'll find that white vinegar works as well if not better than Cilly Thang & it's loads cheaper use with a micro cloth leave on for a bit first.
