Plastic bag stains on lino

Put several wet bags for life onto a lino floor and hey presto, the dye came off onto the lino.

How can I get it off?
I'm planning a trip to John Lewis and Lakeland on Monday, so please, please arm me with nifty things I can buy that will get the stains out. Thank you!

Where did you get the bags? Might be worth phoning/emailing the HO and asking if they have had this problem reported before and what they can recommend.

I seem to remember something like this happening before and the bags were withdrawn because they were faulty.

Tesco's and the Co-op.
I hadn't thought of contacting them, but I will and see what they recommend.

Bluumin bags for life, end up with hundreds of them shoved in a cupboard and then they make a mess on the floor...

We get this from the plastic bread wrappers on our work surfaces (wood). I can usually get it off with some serious scourer scrubbing! It actually leaves a "print" though, where the pattern from the packet transfers onto the work surface, not just dye, so might be different.

That's it Egg, it's like bread bag imprints. m

Which scouring product do you use with success?

Usually just water I think! But our work surfaces are crappy old wooden ones so I probably remove half the work surface each time... Might not work so well on lino. The only cleaning product I really use in the kitchen is the Ozclean Kitchen Power which is fab. Could give it a go!

Egg - it's on The List.
I'll let you know!
Good luck with your wooden surfaces too!
