Any hints for hair dye Vs.towels?

Arrgh Dsd and her mate decided to dye their hair whilst I was out and instead of using the old crappy towels have used dd's fave and one of my brand new, never used beach towels

I now have a pink towel covered in red dye and a pale blue one covered in black dye grrrrr

is there anything I can try?

I'm v v pissed off (esp as beach towel was from a set, one of those huuge ones with pockets etc) but want to try to fix rather than rant and rave.

Any ideas?

Anyone? I soaked them in Glo-White overnight, but no change.

Thought I'd ask first before I boil wash.

TBH I don't think anything willl get it out if it was perminant dye. I don't know much though and I don't know what type of dye it was. A boil wash wouldn't do any harm though?

Sorry, I don't think it'll come out. I've got a hair dye towel that's still got stains from the permanent black dye that I used 10+ years ago.

If it's semi-permanent, then attempt a boil wash

Well dandruff shampoo is supposed to be good for stripping hair dye out of hair - maybe worth a try?

buy some more hair dye and wash the towles with it. or deduct from dd anual allowance

Well, nothing worked (tried Head and Shoulders and Olive Oil on the red dye), tried a boil wash and a 'vanish' wash so 2 ruined towels and it gets worse......

2 towels
2 pillow cases (obvs didnt wash it all out and went to bed with wet hair)
1 bath mat (rubber thing in bath)
1 floor mat
1 shower curtain
1 T-shirt
1 patch on bedroom carpet (that I think I can 'shave' but we're in rented accn so....)

and when I blew my top all I got back was "huh, you should see how many towels we've wrecked at XXXX's house"

Grrrrrrrr

(oh and whilst I'm here - any hints on orange foundation and black eye-liner from a silk pillowcase?????)

bit late now but a hot wash isn't going to help, hot water fixes dye, a cold wash would have been better. but i highly doubt if a permanent dye would come out anyway.

for the silk pillow case, try (very gently) wiping it with a lanolin free wet wipe. has to be lanolin free otherwise will leave a greasy mark. i was advised to use them on some marks on my wedding dress and it worked.
