I have no money, how am I going to feed the kids next week?

The kids are getting very fussy and are constantly eating. much more than normal. I ran out of money last week and have no idea what we will eat next week. The kids are driving me mad with the waste and now dc1 has just come in with ketchup on his face saying My face is bleeding, my face is bleeding. dc3 has just fallen and bust his lip so blood everywhere so I am sure he thinks he is funny, but with dc3 hurt, the food wastage and no money, I am not finding it funny.

just wanted to add that kids are resiliant.

if there are no medical issues here, kids will not let themselves starve.

if you are giving them 3 meals a day. then they are eating enough.

if they dont eat a meal - they will be hungry the next meal. so stop pandering to them

oh and i had special 'mummy' cereal - funny how that always went on the kids - so i decided to try an experiment - i got some healthy stuff - dried oats and fruit thing called hawaaian mix or something - or fruit anf fibre - in my moment og genius i thought 'they wont like that and i will actually get some'

but becuse it was mummy's - they loved it. so i thought - bugger it - they are eating healthily - this is actually a good trick to employ - so i bought mummy cereal and cut out the shit full of sugar stuff.

There's a website somewhere (not at home, so can't rip it from my favourites) where you put in the stuff you have and it gives you recipe ideas of what to make with it all...

Here?

I know, I think DH is wrong about the cooking from scratch too. It can be more to start with when you stock up but in the long run it will be cheaper.

I have gone through the cupboards, fridge and freezer and listed everything (except herbs/spices and bread flour) and I am at how I panicked when I see what I have.

It is a long long list but if anyone wants to help make meals, that would be great.

Tonight we are having jacket potatoes and tuna with salad.

When I went with a meal plan and cooked we had abit of money left so I need to get my money for the week, shop how it works for me and not listen to dh.

Trefusis - apprehensively, if you want to start a new thread to discuss my apparent issues, do so.
