Any tips on cleaning it out? No dishwasher here. So far I've relied on just really good rinsing through with hot soapy water, but had a good look today and sterner measures are needed.

Am soaking in a bowl of neat vinegar just now but not sure how well this will work or how long it'll take. Wondered about using a toothpick to poke stuff out but we haven't any in the flat just now. Nothing else (forks etc) will fit in.

cotton bud and milton.
Or the bin, it's ick, isn't it?

Bin, sadly. You can always keep the main cup bit of course for when they're older. Good job they're only about £1.50, we get through a few.

Have you got an electric sonic toothbrush. I keep a spare head specifically for this purpose.

Thanks, have now binned after spending ages with DP standing peering into the little holes. Seems v wasteful, ah well.

Arf, when I first read that I thought you were saying your DH was spending ages peeing into the little holes.

  • buy cheap denture tablets at your local supermarker
  • place beaker lid(s) in bowl, cover with warm water
  • drop in a tablet or two and leave overnight

Works a treat. Reminds me I should do a lid soaking session this weekend, haven't done one in a few months.
