i have no white vinegar, what can i use in washing machine?

as a fabric softener i mean. i only use vinegar so i dont have any of the other either. anything else i can use?

I use vinegar to soften my cloth nappies when i run out i soak them in rain water before a wash, amazing how soft it makes them!
