Grr...bloody philosophy 101

Anyone out there able to explain in lowest common denominator terms the core beliefs of Hobbes, Rousseau and Kant with regard to human nature, State/government, freedom and peace.

Hobbes - we're all vile and need stamping on to keep peace
Rousseau - we're good until led astray by power or wealth so we need a direct democracy
Kant - we have it in us to be both good and bad so we need to be brought up with reason (what does this mean?) and have a representational democracy to stop inevitable conflict

I feel thick as mince - any help/insight/tips/decent sources appreciated. Thanks in advance x Flowers
