For the first part shouldn't it be find the volume? So pi x radius squared x height

I suspect that this is one of those threads where the OP never returns, but AName is right. If the interior of the tin is cylindrical with radius 35mm and height 85mm, it will hold pi x 35^2 x 85 = 327,000 cubic millimetres which is better expressed as 3270 cubic cm (or ml).

By the way, that's not a tin - it's more like a small oil drum!

The profit question is gibberish and we would need some monetary data to work out profit.

Maybe I should be glad that the OP hasn't returned, as I've just realised my gaffe. Correct conversion is 327,000 mm3 = 327 cm3, which is a perfectly normal size for a jam jar! Sorry for my error (if anyone ever reads this Hmm ).
