DS is writing a document for homework and has been asked to age it. If its been written with a fountain pen, what's the best way to do this? Grill it?

Thank you! do lots to practice and use the best. It's good fun.

I always use Lapsang Souchong tea as it also adds a nice aged smell (reminds DH of Nelson's battleship the Victory!!!). Sorry if that's a bit of a poncetastic answer - should have warned in advance.

Hmmmmm. We have Earl grey, mint, camomile, after dinner and builders tea...

Lillian, good idea. Mine usually smell of strong coffee.

No no no!
Write first and age later.
Otherwise you will get very telling marks where the writing goes on top of the folds of the paper.

But if its in ink it will all float away!

Cook it in an oven. No really, this is what we did at school 25 years ago and burnt the corners/edges with the cooker.

True.

It's just for convincing fakes you always age the medium.

But I suppose your end result won't be examined too closely.
