not registering at school

If your child's not already registered at a school you don't have to deregister or inform anyone but will the LEA still contact you to arrande home visits etc (which i know you dont have to accept) because they'll know you haven't registered or applied anywhere?

They might. If they find you, and if they have the staff. They don't share data as much as you'd expect, though I suppose the new children's database (ContactPoint is it?) is intended to change that.

DD is 5.6, has never been registered at school, and nobody has asked me yet.

thanks they have sent two now though, i dont think its because i failed to return the first one though as it came very soon aftrer first one

also i know if they do contact me i dont have to accept visit but do i have to prove to them i'm provoding edcation, if so how? And do I have to have annual contact?

Depends on your LEA to some extent - they vary in approach, with some being bastards more on top than others.

thanks again, one other thing! if you move house to a different area therefore different authority do you have to tell either authority or can you just move?

also if you decided to go to a different country, what happens then? (dont know what long term plans are yet)

No you don't have to tell anyone if you move. There is no obligation for you to inform them of anything unless they actually ask.

Different countries would have their own laws - so depends where!
