I have often been asked about the experience of having three young children in one-line school. For anyone who is interested here is what I wrote to somebody recently:

When my wife became seriously ill, I took my children out of prep school and enrolled them at Wendover Online School, where they stayed for 3 years. At prep school, they had been very average academically, but their time at Wendover transformed them-they developed a real love for learning. We later moved to Spain and decided to place them in an international school, thinking it would help us integrate. They are now top of their respective years academically and still often talk about how much they miss Wendover. I can't recommend Wendover highly enough, and my children would be happy to share their experiences with anyone who's interested.

Have they sat any internationally accredited exams yet? As having taught in internally schools the quality varies hugely so being top isn't necessarily reflective of academic achievement. Glad it's worked for you and your kids though, just wondering how quantifiable it is.

This is incredibly unsubtle advertising OP.

My daughter just completed her MYP with 61 out of 63 and is now in D1. My other two children are in M4 and M5. My son in M5 just completed a two month project with AI for Good helping to deliver the sentiment analysis part of their Climate Scanner Project for the G20. For me the most important aspect though is their love of learning and the confidence that brings - knowing that they can do something if they put their mind to it.

The success of home ed is nothing to do with what online school (if any) you enrol your dc in, but to do with the quality of the relationships with the main educator within the home, which is what makes the whole thing a positive experience and fosters the love of learning.
