I am withdrawing my 15 year old son from his school. He is struggling with mental health issues. I googled for online resources for him to continue with his GCSE studies and got so many results I'm confused. Has anyone got any guidance for me as to which provider they have tried and liked please. Thank you.

Hi, sorry to hear your DS has had a rough time. My daughter stopped attending school in 2020 and is now doing really well with Apricot Learning Onine. They deal with SEN kids and are very nurturing.

I'm in a similar situation with a child the same age@Fireball27 (hugs). Interested in Apricot Learning@MarmiteChocolate . Do you know if you can spread the fees termly or monthly? They are closed now so just thought I'd ask if you have any insights.

Do you want your child to actually take some GCSE's? If so you need to find an exam centre that you can get to realistically and that you can afford. Then look at the examination board they use and find a tutor/online resource that is doing that exam board syllabus. Its not as simple as finding a resource you like when it is getting close to actually taking the exams - you need to make sure they are doing the right syllabus for the exam he will be taking.

Or you could not bother at all and they can do them at college post 16 when it will be free again. Then you can choose whichever resource you like knowing the studying now means they should sail through the college course no matter the syllabus.
