In my area there have been various bushcraft, forest school, and foraging sessions offered by different people over the years. The professional companies tend to be quite expensive IME, but you may find other local home educators who have a passion for outdoor education who offer sessions at cost.

I would suggest that you seek out sessions specifically for older children. My eldest was very frustrated that most of the groups we tried were full of young children, with the consequence that there weren't interesting and challenging activities. An 11yo doesn't want to make stick bread week after week and be told not to touch the matches!!

Woodcraft Folk is a scout-style organisation focused on outdoorsy stuff, which is popular with HE families. The usual model involves children attending without their parents but I'm sure they'd be delighted if you wanted to join as a parent helper.

Have you asked in your local HE group?
