thank you to schoolhouse and thank you to mumsnet and the Home Edders on Mumsnet without whom I would not have heard of home Education or that it is legal. My son is happy and learning.

there is so much evidence of the lea delaying us and others and being obstructive, and the thing is he has no reason to withhold consent unreasonably, Schoolhouse know the law better than the lea's up here do, it is just that this guy we happen to know he is totally for mainstream education -school. even for all children whether their parents agree or not sen or not even where mainstream schools have told sen kids to leave and thier paretns want them not to have to mainstream he bullys them and won't listen so for people wanting to home ed well it is opposed to his ideological viewpoint, I am sort of speaking of others I know not my case about this bit, but he is blocking others who really need their children to be out of school for the most true reaosns and still he maKing them suffer and wait, and this is forgetting the basic idea - it is our right enshrined in law to home educate if we go by the law and get consent and there is no reason to withhold consent 'it should not be withheld unreasonably' It is driving me mad the waiting and the worry, I hope the people in England do not let the government change any of the legislation and take away their right to withdraw their children from school with out having to gain consent- it is just excuse to bully and obstruct people

Today written consent did finally arrive, 4 weeks after I requested it but better late than never.
