Fun activities to learn to tell the time?

What sort of ages?

An alarm clock is good

Setting timers for things cooking to get a sense of how long ten minutes/forty minutes/whatever is

Can't really think what else we did - it all sort of happened by osmosis, to be honest.

I told them they couldn't have any chocolate before 11am, they learnt to tell the time really quickly after that

THat's the sort of thing that would work here too!!!

do you know how DC eventually learnt to tell time? shes got learning difficulties btw, but nothing worked until we foccussed (and not that we watch tv all day)on what time her/my/our programmes are on tv, and eg when the clock says 12 that means its lunchtime, 8 its bedtime etc etc.

if were out and she shes a bit obsessed about my watch, shell look at it, if she sees 1pm shell say 'mum were missing top gear' or something!

she gets better at it as each day passes.

and what time teatime is/morning break etc etc.
