Anyone used/using 'Nessy' for Home Ed + Dyslexia/Dyspraxia

Have just discovered this and have bought the 'Tables of Doom', this has worked wonderfully in just the first lesson. Am now looking at the Nessy Fingers for typing as our son also has fine/gross motor issues and handwriting is a huge problem.

I'd like to buy the full pack, but at over a £100 I wondered if anyone could say if this is equally as good!

Thanks xx

Ive had a quick look.

I cant tell (from a quick look) quite what it is all about!
I have heard people say good things about "Beat Dyslexia" but I dont know for myself if its any good.

Have you tried your local library - I have seen books aimed specifically at kids with dyslexia in at least one library (shrewsbury - I dont live there though!

Im wary of spending lots of money on one specific product (variety tends to be more popular here - unless its a bargain!!!!!)

For links practice look at the bottom of the page!

To be honest no!

Dd is almost 8 and basically not reading at all. But because I know of loads of HE kids her age who cannot read for other reasons, Im not that worried at the moment.

She isnt good at phonics at all. Copes better with learning particular words but then I realised she is just learning the story as you would a drama script!

Her dad is dyslexic and had enormous problems until he finally conquered reading aged about 14.

One thing we are doing that she likes is compiling a 'book'
Its an A4 plain paper exercise book with pictures and words that we have worked on. It has got "my very easy learning to read book" written on the front.
We havent got/used anything specifically aimed at children with dyslexia - yet!
