I know I saw a post on here about this not so long ago but can't find it now. I was wondering if anyone has used either Muzzy or Rosetta Stone? My boys have been learning German with a tutor and they've loved it. Sadly she's moving to Switzerland but they'd really like to continue. Any advice gratefully received!

Agree. It's v dated. Mine loved it when they were three, but it's a total 1970s era school programme. Grin think mr Ben in furrin.

There must be loads of better options.

How old are they? We just watch DVDs and read books in French to learn French, they are much better than the language courses I tried which were often slow and boring. We also have a French student who comes round to play in French, not to teach.

Agree Muzzy is very expensive and outdated - Dd tried it and it really did not appeal. I wouldn't recommend it at all!

Rosatta stone gets good reviews but not muzzy.

My dd who is now six will still watch it and enjoy it but I do not think it has taught her one single word of spanish!

DS is always interested in the adverts, and loves the Lingo show, so I'm watching a few on ebay. He enjoys the funniest things so you never know, and if not, it can serve as 'looking like I'm trying' material.
