Just wondered if part time primary teachers like myself make any extra money from offering their services to families who follow HE.

Well i have been thinking about this for my ds.

I thought there might be a need out there but need to target advertising somehow. Are there regional NE support groups for example?

people who run support lists don't generally react very well to people joining in order to advertise stuff.

I wasn't contemplating advertising through a web site. I just would be interested in getting contact details and talking to an organiser or representitive in the first instance.

I do think it will be tricky to get home educators to plug a paid-for service to other home educators. Maybe if you had a webpage then home educators could find you via google? Possibly something on Facebook though I have no idea what I'm talking about with FB because I don't use it.

Sorry but it drives me nuts, as the owner of a local HE yahoo groups and webpage, the number of people who want to offer tutoring services to our local HE group!
I just delete all such messages.
The only way a tutor of any sorts gets into our newsletter etc, is from personal recommendation by a HE family who has used them.
When I wanted a tutor -only specific subjects such as music theory, never for ggeneric tutoring-I asked local friends for recommend

Recommendations, as I ask about car mecahnics!
Sorry my phone sent that too soon.
TBH I'd ignore a FB page personally too for the same reasons.

Forgive me OP, I know you are just trying to earn an honest buck, but if I passed on everything onto the lists, we'd be inundated!

I don't at the moment but may in the future.:)

I don't know anybody who's mentioned any interest in having a tutor at primary level, though two of my friends use Kumon centres. Some of my friends use subject specialist tutors at secondary, especially post-GCSE.
