I had a home visit 2 weeks ago. I haven't heard a sausage since! Aren't they legally obligated to give you a report? She also said she would email me some stuff & guess what.... She hasn't done that either.

Try mailing her and asking for a copy of the report and the info she mentioned.

We got a copy of our report (Norfolk) about a fortnight after the visit.

ours took ages, (Cambs) if you're that interested then get in touch with them and ask. Smile

We waited 6 weeks for our feedback. We still waiting for the extra 'stuff' 18 months later. Hmm
The person we saw told us on the day most of the details that were subsequently in the 'report' (it looks like a form with boxes and headings).

If you are very gung ho and if they never respond to your requests, you could put in a Subject Access Request under the Data Protection Act. That obliges the LA to share with you all the information they hold about you. I think there is a small fee for this.

However if you just want them to pull their socks up and tell you whether they have any concerns, you could just write again by recorded delivery saying something along the lines of "I hope to receive your report by xx date. If I do not, I will assume that you are satisfied with the education I am providing." The advantage of this approach is that if they don't reply, you will have proof that they have no concerns about your children's education: they have a responsibility to answer you promptly if they have any concerns. Once you have this proof, you can point out that they've now carried out their statutory duties and so you need not supply them with any more information in future.
