Starting grandson on Conquer Maths - hopefully.

Does anyone have a discount code, please?:)

I think you just need to email them that you are home educating and they will sort it out for you.

That's what I did with Mathletics! (Good discount too!)

Thanks, Tinuviel:)

I have just signed my DS up for conquer maths and he loves it. I was given a discount code from EO. I'm interested to see that matheletics give a discount, thats really helpful Tinuviel as I wanted to sign both DS up. I am off to do that now.

Wish I'd thought about a discount code when I signed my DS up to mathletics. Will try to remember for next time.

I wrote to Mathletics to ask for a discount on account of home-edding and wanting to sign up 2 children, and at first they denied current existence of discounts for anyone, then came back to me with a frankly shabby discount only for subsequent children signed up - but nothing for the first child. Hmm

Someone on another forum mentioned that they had stopped the mathletics discount. We only signed DD up as I wanted to see how it went and paid £10 for the year. Will have to see what they offer for DS2 now.

Have any of you tried Maths Whizz?

Its a different concept to Mathletics and it seems to explain how to do tasks in more detail. You dont have any control of the level of questions you get, this is done based on an initial assessment, whereas most maths packages you decide which year to work on.

We tried both packages at the same time, and I found that DC spent more time changing characters hairstyles than focussing on the maths, whereas with Whizz, they do the tutorials quite happily.

Ds preferred Whizz as well, but it only goes up to KS3. We tried Mathletics but he just didn't engage with it, it didn't press his buttons. Conquer is best for him and he'll work on it quite happily Grin.
