Have just found out that they have taken our child tax credits but we should keep child benefit.Am wondering if anyone has appealed this desicion and won as we really can't afford to continue his He otherwise.
He is still studying at home for more than required time and if he was in school or college they would pay which is really annoying as obv they don't feel that even though we have HE'd for 13 years it's not good enough
Anyone know anything as obv otherwise he's just going to have to work and try to study as well as he wishes to go to uni and is already in contact with his chosen uni.

Tax credits shouldnt stop if you have been home edding prior to becoming 16 years old. Are you a member of EO? can you get some advise from them?

I still get tax credits for my He 18 year old. They should not stop as long as you have been HEing before he turned 16.

You need to get back on to them asap. I had to answer some questions and give them an approximate end date, but that was all.

Had this conversation with another mom yesterday............and it happened to us too.
Ring them up and expalain you are still getting CB as your child IS still in full time education.

That should do it

Unbelievably they have re-instated the tax credits. Apparently they forgot to let me know until afterwards.Thank you for the advice anyway
