Hallway decorating advice needed for stair wall and gallery layout

Hello

I am starting a new thread as I accidentally deleted the one I made yesterday I stupidly hit delete instead of pin anyway.

I'm working on designs for my hallway upgrade and my hubby found a renter friendly way of doing wainscoting and I know how I'd like my hallway to look however I have one problem the wall going up my stairs leads to a tall ceiling and large dead space wall area and I'm not sure if I should leave it plain or add a gallery? This is what I've done so far with Gemini's help ( I won't be putting the waiscoting on the small wall just going up the stairs) and I'm wondering if I should remove the two photos of my dogs and place a large willow wreath there like the one from the Suffolk nest?

Any advice?

I know it's bland but I can't do colour as it messes with my autistic brain so I'm limited to neutral colours.

I really like your design , keep the pics of your dogs but maybe get them done a bit bigger so fills that wall more .
Maybe get a big fancy pendant light fitting to fill the tall ceiling height?

A large willow wreath could work really well there. It would add texture and soften the empty wall without introducing lots of colour or visual clutter. You could even choose one with a few neutral dried grasses or pale preserved stems for a little more interest.Another option would be one oversized neutral print or a simple set of two matching frames. That would balance the wall without making it feel crowded. My instinct is wreath plus dog photos, rather than replacing the photos completely.
