Cotton double bedding

Where are you buying decent cotton duvet covers from that don’t require a second mortgage? I’ve already checked out M&S, John Lewis and Next. Everything is either striped, checked, flowery or has sheep/cows on. Just want a grey or blue and white mix kind
of abstract pattern. Any ideas?

Dunelm. I got a great plain white 100% cotton double duvet set for £6 in the sale a few weeks ago! Also got flowered sets, but they had plain colours too.

Agree. Dunelm are really great for these. And you can filter v easily on their website too. We’ve got several sets and they’re good.

Second Dusk… lovely quality cotton bedding on sale a lot

I get all my bedding now from George at Asda. I only get 100% cotton. Brushed in winter and crisp for summer. I just got two super king bed sets and it came to £32. They are both lovely. It always washes really well too. I recommend to everyone 😆 👌🏽…. I do click and collect to my local store

Agree about George at Asda. Also Boundary outlet is great if you have one near, lots of top brands.

Absolutely agree with GarlicMind about Dusk. Very good quality and washes well.

There’s some really lovely designs on Asda website, might pop into a store and check out the quality. Thanks for the suggestions as I wouldn’t have thought of looking there. I often buy from Dunelm but just can’t find anything that fits the bill this time. Not familiar with Dusk so will check that out too. Thanks all!!

IKEA possibly?

Orla Kiely uses a great cotton and they're at a good price. My sets are a few years old, changed weekly, and still look new.

Dunelm. It’s a shame you’ve ruled out stripes as we recently got a set from The Linen Yard brand from there and it’s so soft and lovely. It said ‘washed cotton’ on the package, and it really feels like it’s had enough washes to take that kind of stiff brand new feeling off, right out of the packet.

Personally I think good quality bed linen is really important but it also depends what you have been used to in a way. Dusk is a really good call, the cotton has quite a silky feel to it and is much better than the rough, cheap cotton that Dunelm or some of the supermarkets sell. Better quality will last much longer but I get that sometimes budget gets in the way of choice.

It is better but cheaper ones can be OK. I have some now ancient egyptian cotton House of Fraser ones and they're much better than the cheaper ones. (I doubt they sell that quality now)

Brands like Ikea have OK ones but the cotton varies and I've not bought the ones that felt rough.
