Help! F&B slipper satin sample vs valspar gone wrong!

Soooo I was looking for an off white/neutral beige/white that would look nice with greens, have bought a green headboard.
picked up Shadow White and Slipper Satin. Liked both but thought slipper satin suited the headboard more.
Had the paint made up in valspar and it's nothing like the sample! However, the image of slipper satin on the F&B website does look like the valspar paint colour .....so now we are wondering if the F&B branded sample is wrong?
The photo colours are slightly changed by my iPhone but I think you can see the B&Q version is warmer/more brown/pink toned than the F&B tester.
Can anyone recommend the neutral I want on the right if it's not indeed slipper satin?! Or do I get someone to colour match the sample 🫠
£75 on a tin of magnolia/beige paint 😭

Colour matches aren’t good and it wasn’t a good idea not to buy samples before paying for a full tin. Also it’s unreasonable to expect a dupe to look exactly like the real thing. They rarely do.

Slipper satin, though, does have more warmth than school house white. And may be a shade lighter.

We used Valspar several years ago, and the quality was dreadful. Personally, it's not a brand I'd use.

Years ago I had magnolia in a west-facing room and it looked hideous. The light brought out the yellow undertones so it just looked grubby. It lasted a couple of days until it was painted over.

Slipper Satin is beautiful - I've used it through two houses, in the F&B formulations as a base white (e.g. woodwork and ceilings, sometimes walls). I think your mistake is trying to get a cheaper version of the same.

My walls desperately need a touch up though, and won't take kindly to a wash down.

I got slipper satin for my hall/landing and because it was bare plaster tested it in other areas. Started painting with it when we had mist coated and it looked so yellow like margarine! We did not use it in the hall but ended up using it in the office and it was fine, but it is a very yellow undertone

I’ve also found decorating centre on line is so good for colour matching. I‘ve colour matched a number of F&B colours on there an had used my F&B sample pot for touch ups and you can’t really tell the difference. The paint quality is so much better than Valspar along with their colour matching

I've got slipper satin (in emulsion and woodwork version) in the dinning room on a chimney breast and fire surround and it's a beautiful cream.

I used the same tin upstairs on the bedroom walls and it pulls greenish. Just like your photo OP.

I adore F&B and have it all over the house - but the light changes it like magic. It's best to paint the tester ON the wall.
