Posted in another topic. One person said curtains. Would curtains disguise the unevenness? Can anyone recommend type of curtains and should i get one long extendable pole or two 🫣
Shamelessly bad at this sort of thing.

Oh god that would drive me mad - I just couldn’t look at that all day, it would annoy me constantly.

A curtain would help, but you’d have to have it permanently shut. Is that a door on the far right hand side? If not, you could do a sort of floor-to-ceiling voile? Might disguise it a bit.

I commented on your other thread…this kind of thing I was meaning…floor to ceiling, wall to wall if budget allows.

Blind on the little window and curtains at the big one in the same fabric? So they match but aren't meant to be a pair

Tortephant · 11/03/2026 15:42

I agree with @Thatsanotherfinemess1

what in the room used for OP? Could you actually block up the small window? Do you need the light from it?

catipuss · 11/03/2026 15:44

I would just put curtains on each window, I think the little one looks cute and would be more so with curtains highlighting it.

OhDear111 · 11/03/2026 15:48

Blinds - obviously. One for each window. Just so much easier!

Why are blinds easier?

OhDear111 · 12/03/2026 08:44

@catipuss They mean you can tailor to each window, The bigger window needs long curtains. I never do short and long together. Then if long, what to do about the small window and the wall? It’s far more expensive to have curtains over all of the space. Also one window has no parking area for curtains at all. So where is the fabric going to sit? Makes poles difficult too. Obviously a wall of curtains costs more with parking on the far right. Blinds are tailored to the window. Less fabric is used and they can be adjusted to allow some light in.

bluelace1 · 12/03/2026 20:28

@OhDear111do you mean roman blinds

Do I take away the white ones ?

OhDear111 · 12/03/2026 21:22

@bluelace1 Yes. You could have them outside the windows. If you want privacy, have sheer blinds on the inside. In your situation, I just think it’s easier than curtains with parking issues.

I might be tempted to frame the windows (like the do in the US) then you could make the framing on the smaller one deeper at the bottom, so it visually you'd notice less of a difference. They look the same at the top to me so a visual similarity at the bottom will really help.
