Grown up pink?

I want to paint the bedroom in my new house a soft grown up pink. It’s the first house I’ve ever owned by myself (post divorce) and the joy I’m getting from decorating it exactly as I want it is immense. I’ve always wanted a pink bedroom. But … it’s a very bright room, faces south, and all the tester pinks I’ve tried end up looking like sugared almonds once on. I’ve tried Tailor Tack F and B, and Dulux Heritage Powder Colour, both of which came up too bright. Has anyone used Summer Linen (Dulux)?

Setting Plaster, Scallop and Templeton Pink (all F&B) are great.

Setting Plaster works in N facing but IMO will look too orange in a S facing room. Same for any peachy/nude type pink.

Look for cooler or greyer pinks for a S facing room. They will come up warmer than you think. We have Calamine in a S facing room and it looks lovely there - looked cold on the tester card but perfect in S facing. Sulking room pink and Peignoir should also work although personally I find them too mauvey.

I like the look of Hellebore by Little Greene.

I wanted my south-facing bedroom to be a nude pink. After testing so many shades, I ended up with Dulux mellow mocha. Most pinks I tried were too bright and were giving 'little girls nursery' vibes. Or failing that they looked too peach due to the amount of sunlight. Mellow mocha has a beige, slightly mauve tone, that stands up to the sunlight, and passes as pink in my room. Friend's who've seen it have commented on what a lovely colour it is. My friend has the same colour a north facing room and it looks totally different, much more beige/mauve, and not pink at all.

I painted my bedroom Little Greene’s Chemise. It’s very pale and can look a bit lilac in some light. Very pretty yet subtle and not girly.

I like Little Greene’s “Masquerade” or Coat’s “Reverie”.

Any F&B pink really but these are lovely.

Thank you all very much. So many beautiful pinks. I have, however, finally made a decision! I have decided upon Coat’s Reverie. Thank you all.

Great choice. We have recently used it and love it. Nice quality paint, too.

My living room is Ballet Slipper by Johnson’s. A bit sugared almond but I really love it

Have a look at Paint and Paper Library Plaster IV.

I have Dulux dusted fondant in my conservatory

It really depends on the light in the room. We've just done pink ground in my daughters North facing loft room which while not especially grown up, it looks so lovely and I feel so calm and peaceful in her room! It's a soft warm slightly peachy pink. We also have a darker pink from lick in our utility room but only halfway up the walls - pink 07 - which I really like but wouldn't do a whole room in and up in her room it looked too dark.
