I see alot of houses with the ring doorbell. Been thinking to get one but have no idea which one to get as there are so many on the market at the moment. Can anyone recommend a good value one please.

Whatever one you get, make sure you get the chime with it too!
I didn’t & regret it, I had the thought of ‘oh I’ll have it connected to my phone I’ll hear it that way’… my phones always on silent 🙈
Chimes alone are expensive! Amazon normally have good deals.

My second Ring has packed up. They don't last and are expensive.

I got a cheap one off tiktok shop for about £15 and that's been great. I wanted it for the back door to keep an eye on the dog. Now my Ring has died on the front door again, I've ordered a TT one with a screen for £25. Supposed to arrive tomorrow.

Some, possibly all, Ring ones need a subscription. Personally, I wouldn't buy a subscription doorbell! I'm not sure what you get for paying them monthly above the purchase price?

Eufy and reolink branded ones are subscription free. We have a reolink, but DH is very techy, but many others on here recommend the eufy one.

I second this. There’s no way I’m paying a bloody subscription for a doorbell! We’ve got a eufy- does the job

The first thing to decide is whether you can have a battery or wired in model.
It’s best to have one wired in to your house electrics because otherwise you have to keep removing the doorbell to recharge a battery operated model.

I had a wired in eufy, following many recommendations on here, but found there was a delay in notifying my phone. I would be driving away down the road before I got the notification that someone (me) was at my door. I got a refund after persevering for 10 months.

I switched to the wired in ring doorbell with a separate chime and pay £80 per year for storing videos, etc. I am so pleased with it that I installed two external floodlights with cameras which are also included in the annual subscription plan. I look on it as an additional insurance premium.

Not sure what the obsession with ringdoorbell is. Another gadget to link to and tie us to our phones. Yeh you can see who is knocking when you're out but nobody calls at your door anymore apart from deliveries

Look at the Eufy one, you don't need to pay monthly for storage like Ring, and it integrates with other cameras if you have or won't some in the future.

Everyone in my home is disabled. It often isnt possible to get to the door for one reason or another. The ring doorbell is invaluable.
They can be a very useful aid.

Eufy everytime. They’re not overly expensive don’t need a subscription, excellent image quality and easy to fit.
