Hi all, very random post.

im normally really good at visualising space but im really struggling with wardrobe space in my house. The previous owners had knocked through a box room into the master to make a walk in wardrobe. Its a small and awkward space, Ikea pax doesn’t really work to what I want (tried this) but also myself and my husband have the skills to build our own, we just can’t settle on layout. I have attached a really scrappy piece of paper with measurements. The room is 235cm tall. I’d like double hanging, single hanging and drawers. I think a u shaped design is probably best but just can’t work out how to make it work. Would also like storage for shoes.

Are any of the walls external, apart from the one with the window? If you have wardrobes against external walls they’re more likely to get mould so need to factor that in too

what about an L shape of wardrobes (like Pax) on the 128 and 200 cm walls, with a mix of hanging space and drawers. then a shallower set of shelves (50cm deep) on the 202 wall, which would be for all the shoes and smaller things like scarves and jewellery. that wall could also have a dressing table built into the shelves with a mirror & light.

I'd also put a bench under the window if there is space

Is moving the door a possibility, so you end up with similar to a galley kitchen?
Then you could have a built-in 'dressing table' to the left, under the window, with storage underneath. And have a run of wardrobe to the right along the full length of the 200cm wall.
And, if you can, install more sockets.
