Hi, I'm looking for ideas. I am moving into a rented 3 bed semi with my children 18m,17F, 12M. I want them to all have their own bedroom. They
I couldn't find a 4 bed in budget but this house has a really long 'through lounge' and a conservatory at the end of it. Large window at one end and french doors/ conservatory at the othe so lots of light at both ends.

I am planning to somehow partition the front half of the lounge as my bedroom, then having the other end as a lounge, and using the conservatory as a dining room.

I have thought about using the largest size kallax unit from ikea to partition it (rented so can't do a stud wall).

I just wondered if other people have done this or have suggestions?

Thanks

What's the ceiling height? Could use pax wardrobes if they fit nearly all the way to the ceiling. Just need to be careful that no-one leans on them as any freestanding furniture that isn't attached to the wall will have a risk of tipping. you could stabilise by turning a corner at one or both ends with kallax or billy to make a U shape, or a H, or a T. If everything is bolted together that would be stable.
Bottom heavy would be stable too, think besta cupboards at the bottom, billy or kallax on top, screwed together. Or malm drawers with billy on top? Might as well get some storage out of it.

That's a good idea, something more solid on the bottom.
I've not yet moved in so I don't know the exact height. I will wait until I move in to buy anything I think
