Lighting for an internal room with no window

Any recommendations? It’s a bedroom, and it needs lighting strong enough for doing make up / hair, but I don’t want it to be over-bright. Currently there are bedside lamps but they are not enough and too cosy. It has to be a plug in of some sort.

thanks!

You can buy mirrors with led lights round them, might work with lamps etc?

It is not a room if it doesn’t have a window.

Actually it is if it has enough light (that was what we were told on a survey)

this room had glass doors with a curtain

Are sun pipes (is that the right wording?) still a thing? Natural light is best even if it’s expensive.

Or a glass panel above a door?

I don’t think a room devoid of light is good at all, can you change the layout?

Vanity mirror for make up. You need good light for make up. For general lighting,I like uplighters with frosted glass or plastic shades through which the light shines. You can also get uplighters called Father & Child which have a bright spotlight as well as an uplight. These all plug in and you can find examples online at Argos.

It’s not completely devoid of light - just there is a high screen between it and the window at the other end of the room.

thanks for those ideas
