Will a patterned bathroom floor look outdated?

We’re looking to replace our 15+ year old bathroom. For the floor, I was thinking Victorian-style patterned grey LVT floor tiles but wondered if they might look outdated? We would pair with large flat white metro wall tiles covering all of the walls, and a pale blue vanity unit and bath panel. For context, the house is old with high ceilings, with a medium sized bathroom.

Sounds lovely

If you're doing up to sell, go for plain. If not, get what you like.

If it’s what you like, why does it matter if it’s outdated?

We have black and white Victorian style floor tiles with white metro tiles and we love it

I have this on my bathroom floor, with moss-green metro tiles and a brownish-pink paint above. Mid-Victorian house. I love it.

I would like it too. Don't worry about it possibly being outdated.

Thanks all. I think why I wondered was that bathroom refit pictures a couple of years all seemed to have patterned floors but everything seems to be marble tiled walls and plain floors now. We are probably looking to sell with the next 5 years but I guess with LVT, the floor could be replaced relatively easily anyway if someone doesn’t like it.

Your bathroom sounds lovely, particularly those tiles.

Sounds nice. I think it'll look like a trend but not dated. I have these floor tiles in my 1990s house (with modern fittings and an orange wall) - looks great.

Basically - anything goes, choose what you like, and that style is very adaptable.

That website has some lovely tiles, it’s making me want to have patterned tiles all over the bathroom walls but I’m not sure that I could get DH to agree!

Their prices might put him/you off 😄 Those floor tiles cost me more than the wall tiles (which are from Topps).

It's works well with white tiles very well. It's your room put your twist on it
