Painting when the old paint is lifting

Hi, some advice please?

We have just got rid of some mould on our ceilings and walls. During the process large patches of paint lifted off revealing plaster board beneath

How do we now paint over these patches and avoid the roller lifting any more off? Is sanding it back enough or does it need sealing??

TIA

Scrape off any loose bits with a putty knife. Seal with Zinsser's Peelstop primer over it. Followed by a thin layer of pollyfilla and sand it. Another coat of primer (we like 123 by Zinsser), followed by paint.

The best solution, as long as you're sure the source of the mould has been removed, is to replaster. If you don't want to go that far, the quickest and easiest way is you need to thoroughly scrape the whole ceiling to remove any loose paint. Sand to even up the texture and then paint.
