Bathroom lighting; different circuits?

Hi, I'm about to have bathroom renovated, and there will be 4 light sources: 3x overhead spotlights (they are already there), a mirror which has a switch which turns on a soft glow from behind it, 2x wall lights above and angled towards the mirror, and a shower niche with an LED strip.
I've only ever had a bathroom with one pull cord and one light before, so I'm not sure how to ask the electrician to wire them up, and which have to be connected to the extractor fan.
Also, I have a bathroom cupboard and it would be great to have an electric toothbrush charger in there, is this allowed (or do they have to be built in to a custom unit?)
Any advice much appreciated!

We've just had our bathroom refurbished. We've got a 10 spotlights on a 2 gang dimmer switch. It sounds a lot, but it's a big room. We have a hardwired charger on the wall near the sink.

That looks great, the mirror is similar to ours. I didn't realise you could get those hardwired chargers, will definitely look into that. So you have the double dimmer switch on the wall outside the room?

Yes, switch is on the wall outside. Still getting used to though. I keep grabbing for the now non existent pull cord😅

For your bathroom setup, it's best to ask the electrician to wire the lighting in zones overhead spots on one switch, wall lights and mirror glow on another, and the shower niche LED separately if you'd like mood lighting. Typically, only the main overhead lights (or the ones most likely used with the shower) need to be linked to the extractor fan for ventilation compliance. As for the toothbrush charger, yes, it's allowed you'll just need a shaver socket or a fused spur outlet inside the cupboard, which your electrician can install safely. If you're also upgrading your mirror, take a look at Custom Mirror options for a perfect fit and finish.
