Dulux warm neutral. NOT Timeless or Egyptian Cotton

We're doing up our bathroom at the mo and trying to decide on wall colour. It's quite a big room with two windows, North facing. Fittings are chrome. I'm looking for a warm neutral to compliment these tiles https://www.tilemountain.co.uk/luma-antique-white-gloss-ceramic-wall-tile
I think I'd like something a bit lighter or darker than Egyptian Cotton, to make the tiles pop. They've got a brown speckle running through them, and a slight ripple to the surface. Thanks

Natural hessian?

GrouchyKiwi · 21/01/2025 16:27

I was going to say Natural Hessian too.

Monvelo · 21/01/2025 16:28

Me three, but do a test because in some rooms it's really dark.

sammyspoon · 21/01/2025 16:33

Natural hessian or just walnut (think that's lighter)

skippy67 · 21/01/2025 17:03

Thanks everyone. I've got Just Walnut elsewhere in the house. Didn't like the tile against it. Is Natural Hessian pink in tone?

We used Dulux almond white for a north facing living room and hall with no windows. It has warm creamy tones without being magnolia. Looks lovely. Also looked at nutmeg white which is more warm pinky tones.

Those tiles look so nice!

I have Dulux Fine Cream in a north-facing room and Timeless in a south-facing, and the different light makes them look very similar. Think the warmth of Fine Cream is from a touch of yellow.

Just walnut can be a bit pinky. Depends on the light. You'll definitely need to test whatever shade you choose

PrincessOfPreschool · 21/01/2025 19:24

I would get a sample at the light in the room makes all the difference. Sometimes even one wall from the corner to the window can look different!

Remotemouse · 24/01/2025 08:12

Take a tile to the shop, go outside with the sample and to corners in the shop to test what it’s like in different lights then take a tester pot home and try to in the room - guessing is never going to work.

Natural hessian is a bit pink depending on the light, we have it in our hallway and I think it was a bit of a mistake! (But not bad enough to repaint)
Natural calico is nicer

JanglingJack · 24/01/2025 10:23

Summer linen? Or is that too neutral?

ToBeOrNotToBee · 24/01/2025 10:26

Try Wickes Calico. Gorgeous colour

LovelyDaaling · 24/01/2025 10:27

Dulux Barley White (creamy) or Apple White (greenish)?

lemonyellows · 24/01/2025 10:56

I don't know but I love your tile choice.

We’re updating our garden patio and looking at porcelain options – loving the look of the royale stones porcelain paving.

The space gets a fair bit of shade, so we’re after something that’s light enough to brighten the area but still has a natural stone look.

Ideally want a tile that’s low-maintenance, non-slip, and frost-resistant, since this is for year-round use in the UK. Something with a bit of texture and variation in tone would be great – nothing too flat or plain.

If anyone’s used Royale’s porcelain paving before, especially the stone-effect ones, would love to hear how they look once laid and how they’ve held up!
