What order do I do plastering v new bannisters

I will start by saying I have very limited experience of decorating and I find dealing with some tradesmen quite stressful as I don't always know what I need or the right words to explain what I need. My whole house needs some renovation but I work full time and my evenings are spent getting kids to various clubs so I have no time to do it myself (and no expertise anyway). I have decided I want to crack on in 2025 and get stuff done.

Everywhere upstairs needs replastering but we also need new carpets and new bannisters for the stairs and hall. What order do I do this? Bannisters then plaster then carpet or maybe plaster then bannister then carpet?

Will a plasterer prep the walls? Ours have that thick wallpaper used to cover cracks and it's absolutely hard work to get off (as we found doing the lounge). Will they do that or do I need to?

Do I need to empty every room upstairs for them (don't think I can as not much space downstairs) or can they go room by room?

Thanks for your help

Plastering, banister, carpet.
If ceilings aren't being done pile furniture up in middle of room.
It will be a significant cost saving if you strip the wallpaper yourself - can you get DC to assist in the ripping off? It's usually the sort of thing they love. Get a steamer to help. Once wallpaper is off you/plasterer will be able to see what they are dealing with - whether it's just a quick skim over, a full replaster or boarding required. If the state of the walls is hidden there will undoubtedly be chargeable 'extras'.

A room needs to be mostly empty to be plastered. Anything left in the room will get covered in plaster. It's a messy job.
