Where can I look for inspiration for home furnishings if I don't do Instagram?

Particularly interested in sofas, throws, rugs and colour schemes. Can anyone guide me?

Pinterest. Why not just do insta? You can follow who you chose.

I'm not on instagram either. I just use google! Pinterest often comes up, but lots of other advice from say Home and Garden type sites.

Magazines! You might find some good inspiration on different magazines' websites or could maybe find some old copies for sale locally of any titles you particularly like. Could be worth forking out on a couple of new ones if all else fails? I love them and regularly reread them - you see different things each time when you're looking for something in particular. :)

I like Pinterest - which often throws up bloggers and companies of interest. I can't get on with Instagram, I find it's too much agressive selling.

If you’re a member of your local library you might be able to get the Libby app which gives you e-magazines free on your tablet or phone. I used this when redecorating my living room.

Interior decorating magazines. Also, if I see a colour combination I like I just google it I.e. living rooms with x and y colour scheme. You can save any images you like the look of.

Also, if you physically go shopping, and find just one soft furnishing you like, it can inspire what you do with the rest of the room.

I don't know if she's to your taste but Sophie Robinson speaks about how you can base a colour palate on just one beloved item. She has a good website.

I’m surprised at that. I look at insta a couple of times a day and never had anything sales related. Maybe it is who you follow?

House and Garden do gorgeous features on real houses online which are a lot nicer to read and look at than instagram. The problem with insta is that everyone’s houses start to look the same-and there is normally no context behind the decor. If you like magazines, I like 25 Beautiful Homes-it’s just pictures of peoples houses rather than stylists doing features on colours or particular rooms-I like to look at real houses best.obviously they’re styled for the feature but they have lots of different styles.

Yeah I don't do Insta either. But I'm in a WhatsApp group that shares nice interiors on RightMove.

It's good because you can see normal houses similar to your own (which I always wanted from an interiors website -- I want to search for things like location, house type, size, age, materials etc! I don't care what works in a California ranch when I live up a hill in the rain). Also I am nosy obviously.

I just shared a house from on here in fact https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/152856023#/?channel=RES_BUY

Start a group with some friends - can recommend.
